On May 25, 2011 Longwood University filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission for renewal of license of FM Translator station WMLU, which is licensed to serve the Farmville community. The station transmits from the roof of Frazer Dorm on channel 91.3, with an effective radiated power of 250 Watts. The station rebroadcasts WMRA, which operates on a frequency of 103.5. Individuals who wish to advise the FCC of facts relating to the renewal application and to whether this FM translator station has operated in the public interest should file comments and petitions with the FCC by September 1, 2011, by writing to FCC, Washington, DC 20554.
