The Youth Empowerment Center (YEC) is hosting its Annual Summer Teen Enrichment Program (STEP) located at 200 North Main Street, Ste. 202, Farmville. It will have its kick-off Jamboree on June 1 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., which will in-clude registration, free food, and music.

There will be two age groups starting with age group six-12 years old, June 6 thru July 8. The second session starts July 5 with age group 13 and up and ends July 29.

YEC has partnered with Department of Social Services VIEW program. The VIEW participants will be doing on the job training and acting as STEP counselors. In addition, the program will include various workshops, recreational activities and educational field trips.
