William and Tracy Babcock, of Middlesex, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melinda Jean Babcock, to Matthew Moore, of Appomattox.

Mindy is employed by Tractor Supply Company in Powhatan, and Matt is a truck driver for C. F. Marion Trucking Company in Cumberland.

Mindy is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Charlotte Babcock and Tommy and Betty Jo Timberlake, of Powhatan. She is the great-granddaughter of Mickey and Bernice Warren, of Farmville, and Marie and the late Tom Bryant, of Amelia, and the late Thomas and Katherine Timberlake and Dinkle and Themla Babcock, of Powhatan.

A May wedding is planned.
