SCOTTSVILLE, April 5 – Rachel Hill-Maxey, of Scottsville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 1, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Jackson and Nannie Ingram Clark. She was preceded in death by three husbands, James Turner, Johnnie Hill, and Donald Maxey.

Mrs. Maxey loved the Lord with all her heart and now she is safe in His arms.

She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, plus a large extended family.

Funeral services were held on Monday at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery, with Pastor David Morris officiating.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Buckingham Rescue Squad or Beath Animal Shelter in Buckingham.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, was in charge of arrangements.
