PUBLIC HEARING

The Farmville Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Town Manager's conference room located at 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia to hear citizen comments on the following zoning variance requests on behalf of Rock River, Inc. to construct a single family dwelling (50' X 30') at 125 S. Bridge Street which is zoned Residential District (R3). The following is a list of the variances requested for the placement of the proposed dwelling on the corner lot:
A variance of 13' is requested the side yard. The proposed structure would be situated 7' from the side yard. The zoning ordinance for corner lots requires a minimum of 20' for the side yard.
A variance of 22' is requested for setback. The proposed structure would be situated 38' from the center of the street right-of-way. The zoning ordinance requires setback to be sixty (60) feet or more from the center of any street right-of-way less than fifty (50) feet in width.
All other requirements of the zoning ordinance will be met.
