DILLWYN, April 5 – Mary Sue Whorley Jamerson, 92, of Dillwyn, went home to her Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. She was born on June 16, 1918, to the late Sam Whorley and Josephine Call Whorley Banton. She was the widow of Reggie Lee Jamerson and was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Jim, and John Whorley, and a sister, Sally Whorley Franklin.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Lee Jamerson Sr. and wife, Zanie and Joe Daniel Jamerson Sr. and wife, Joanne; two grandsons, Jerry Lee Jamerson Jr. and wife, Diane and Joe Daniel Jamerson Jr.; and a great-grandson, Kyle Jamerson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Jamerson Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
