HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, April 19 – Frances A. Krueger died on Monday, April 18, 2011, at her home. Born on June 28, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, she moved with her husband, C. Norman Krueger to Hampden-Sydney in 1989.

Active in the community, she attended St. Theresa Catholic Church and was a member of The Woman's Club of Farmville GFWC, Central Virginia Arts, The Garden Study Club, a Mah-Jongg group, the Hampden-Sydney Stonecroft Bible Study, and the Hampden-Sydney Birthday Luncheon club, and the Super 8 group. She maintained connection with Baltimore organizations like the Pinochle Club and Cops and Rovers. She attended Strayer College and did graduate work at Buena Vista College in Iowa. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and at her beach house in Nags Head. She was a devoted fan of Johns Hopkins lacrosse.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 46 years and the love of her life, C. Norman Krueger; son, Richard Krueger and wife, Debbie, and sons, Bradley and Tyler; daughter, Lynn Krueger Clark and husband, Craig, and children, Camden, Sheadon, and Katelyn; brother, David; sisters, Marty and Nancy; and stepmother, Carolyn Ward. She was predeceased by a brother, Bill, her mother, Jean Ward, and her father, Richard Ward.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at College Church in Hampden-Sydney with interment to be held, Friday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Maryland.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Puckett Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Edward County Rescue Squad.
