BUCKINGHAM – Okay all you members of the BCHS Class of 1986 who are planning to reunite this weekend, here's the schedule. And, please note that there is a change in the location for Sunday's family luncheon.
On Friday, April 15, it's pay your own way at Depot Diner. Saturday night, April 16, is an adult only soiree at the Dillwyn Rescue Squad building. Cost will be $20 per person.
Festivities will conclude on Sunday, April 17, with a nondenominational worship and memorial service followed by a family lunch in the cafeteria at Buckingham County High School.

The King Is Coming, an Easter Musical, will be presented by the adult choir of First Baptist Church, Dillwyn, on Palm Sunday, April 17, at 7 p.m.
First Baptist Church welcomes everyone to come and worship with them as they present the story of Jesus' last week on earth, his death, resurrection, as well as the hope for his second coming.
Following the program, light refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall. First Baptist Church is located on Route 15 in the Town of Dillwyn.
With spring renewing the landscape all around us, what a great time for revival of the spirit, too.
Jones Chapel Baptist Church will host Revival beginning on Sunday, April 17, at 11 a.m.
The Reverend Jerry Gray, of South Carolina, will be the featured speaker during revival and will lead the worship service on Sunday morning, with music by the Ownby Trio.
Revival services will be held Monday, April 18, through Wednesday, April 20, at 7 p.m. each evening.
Special music will include Percy Abell, head baseball coach at Lynchburg College on Monday; Friends of Hatcher Baptist Church and Ginny Sloane on Tuesday; and the Ownby Trio and Willie Beverly on Wednesday.
Pastor Jim Lamb and the Jones Chapel family invite you to join with them for this time of renewal. The church is located at 947 Trents Mill Road.
Historic Buckingham Incorporated will host its spring meeting on Sunday, April 17, 2:30 p.m., at the Curdsville Community Center.
In conjunction with the county's 250th Anniversary celebration, Jane Pennington Guthrie and the Longwood University Music Department have collaborated to provide what promises to be a most enjoyable and entertaining afternoon of 250 Years of Music.
Curdsville Community Center, housed in the old Curdsville School, is located at 122 School Road, Route 633, just off Route 15. Refreshments will be served after the program.
HBI invites everyone to join with them for this great afternoon of music.
The annual spring meeting of the James River WMU will be Sunday, April 17, 3 p.m., at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.
Guest speaker will be Kristin White, student coordinator with the WMU of Virginia.
As part of the program, students with the Baptist Campus Ministry at Longwood University will present a skit.
The program coincides with the James River Association's current focus on youth. In July, the association is hosting Impact VA; and will be helping host Youth Encounter in October.
“Come and join us for an afternoon of challenge and inspiration followed by a time of food and fellowship,” shared a spokesperson.
Chestnut Grove Baptist Church is located on Route 612, Chestnut Grove Road, just off Route 636, Francisco Road.
They're back. Those energetic, enthusiastic and somewhat zany puppets known as the Kabin Kritters are heading to town on Sunday, April 17, at 7 p.m. Their mission is to help the youth of Hatcher Baptist Church present an Easter musical, Countdown to Easter.
That loveable dromedary DJ, Cameron Camel will be the host as the Kritters present the Top Five Easter Songs.
Following the Countdown, some of the church's youth will share their musical talents. And, the Kabin Kritters have enlisted their dedicated Kitchen Crew to prepare refreshments that will be served after the program.
This promises to be a great evening for children of all ages and the welcome mat is out to everyone including youth groups and Sunday school classes.
The Youth of Hatcher will be accepting a love offering for their very special friend, Paul Adkins, to help with the expenses of a kidney transplant.
Paul's family and friends are working with the National Foundation for Transplants to assist with those expenses.

On Easter Sunday, April 24, Hatcher Baptist Church's adult choir will present an Easter musical In the Presence of Jehovah, at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Pastor Cameron Cloud and the Hatcher Baptist Church family welcome you to join with them for both or either of these special services.

On Easter Sunday, April 24, at 6 a.m., Mourners Valley will host a Sunrise Service with guest preacher Minister Leslie Johnson. Breakfast will be served following the service, which will be the only service held that day.
Mourners Valley Baptist Church is located on Route 20 at 5341 South Constitution Route.
According to a reliable source, Peter Cottontail will be leaving a bunny trail of Easter eggs with his friends at Cedar Baptist Church. In turn, the church will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m. and kids of all ages are invited.
Then, on Easter Sunday, April 24, Cedar Baptist will continue its tradition of hosting an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m.
After the sunrise service, at approximately 7 a.m., breakfast will be available in the fellowship hall.
The Easter Worship Service will be held at 8 a.m., with the choir presenting the musical Crown Him King. Please note that there will not be an 11 o'clock service.
The Cedar Baptist Church Family invites you to join with them on Easter morning as they celebrate the Resurrection. The church is located at 3932 Bell Road.
The Blue Ridge Mobile Food Pantry will be in Buckingham at Maysville Presbyterian Church on Thursday, April 21, at 11 a.m., instead of Friday, April 22, as previously scheduled.
Buckingham County Lions Club is gearing up for Buckingham County Day. Planned for Saturday, May 14, festivities will once again take place at the park-like site adjacent Buckingham Primary School.
This year's theme, Celebrating 250 Years, promotes and commemorates the county's 250th Anniversary; and, the Lions are working with the county's 250th Anniversary Committee to make this day a very special one.

This year's parade marshal will be Peter Francisco, Buckingham's real-life hero. Francisco will be portrayed by Travis Bowman, an actor and author who is a sixth generation descendant of this famous Revolutionary War soldier.

Buckingham County High School Class of 1981 is planning its 30th year reunion. Thus far, plans include a social on September 30, following the homecoming game; and, the main event on October 1, at the Train Station in Farmville.
However, at this point, the committee is trying to ensure that all classmates receive information on this special weekend.
