<br />The “3Ls” Club, Lots of Living Left, of Heritage Baptist Church journeyed to James Madison's home on Wednesday. This was James Madison's 250th birthday. Among the 21 people going was Mr. and Mrs. Ray (Betty) Noblin.

Flora Bolt as well as Mr. and Mrs. Kyle (Jeni) Bolt and Joshua had as their visitors on Sunday Flora's brother, Garland Woodson and Ann Parker.

On Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Don (Betty) Meadows attended the first of the series of Lenten services held at the First Baptist Church in Farmville. The service this week will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

The Prospect Happy Hats had their March outing this past Friday night with supper at Merk's Place followed by attending the Waterworks Players production of Painting Churches. Those enjoying this light-hearted production were Betty Meadows, Joyce Floyd, Edith Vaughan, Jeannette Tarlton, Lorraine Chapman, Margaret Stockton, Hilda Allen, Elfrieda Kerns, Ann Norton and Elsie Wilson.

Flora Bolt was able to attend the Farmville/Prince Edward Historical Society Meeting on Tuesday when her daughter in-law, Judy Bolt came by and took her to the meeting.

Betty Jean Bolt and Stacy took Flora Bolt to town recently to have her hair done. Flora still cannot drive following her surgery on the right foot. The foot is slowly improving.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Alecia) Johnson, of Prospect, traveled to Punxsutawney, PA, in February to celebrate Groundhog Day at Gobbler's Knob with Phil (groundhog). This was also to celebrate Alecia's birthday (also Groundhog Day). It was a blizzard, but Phil didn't see his shadow!

Mr. and Mrs. John (Shirley) Fulcher visited Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Carrie) Taylor on Thursday week.

Rita Utzinger and Pat Smith met for breakfast at Huddle House on Friday.

Jeffrey Smith was installed as deacon at Calvary Chapel Farmville during the Sunday morning service. His son, Charles Smith and grandchildren, Brianna, Charles Jr. and Christina Smith, attended the service that morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith hosted the monthly small group from Faith Bible Fellowship in their home on Monday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. John Utzinger (Rita), Mr. and Mrs. Richard McClintock (Debra), Mr. and Mrs. Al Quinlan (Darlene), and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Trump (Kelly). These couples all enjoyed the fellowship and covered dish dinner.

On Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Messarge (Jeanann) and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lee (Donna) were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith.

Pearl Fulcher and Shirley Fulcher recently visited Gladys Fulcher following her eye surgery.

Hilda Allen, Lois Johnson, and Elfrieda Kerns were among those on a bus traveling to Greensboro, NC, where they attended “Angel Band” at the Barn Dinner Theater.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time. Ray Kelsey, Greg Fulcher and Gladys Fulcher are in need of your special prayers.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will fill the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. Harlan Austin will be in the pulpit this Sunday.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.

Happy birthday is wished to all those having April birthdays, your flower is the sweet pea and you birthstone is the diamond.
