March 3 – “A joy that's shared is a joy made double.” Let's not forget to turn your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night, March 12.

Doyle Lawson and Quick Silver appeared in concert at the Appomattox County High School this past Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John (Shirley) Fulcher, as well as Hilda Allen, Lois Johnson and Elfrieda Kerns, were in attendance.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Betty) Noblin traveled to Chesapeake this past weekend to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. David (Paula) Noblin and children, Brady and Ally.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Meadows visited family, Mr. and Mrs. Andy (Julia) Shotwell, Josh and Kate, on Thursday.

Mrs. Pat Smith will join the ladies of the Faith Bible Fellowship at the Babcock House in Appomattox on Thursday.

Recently, Mr. and Mrs. John (Shirley) Fulcher were in Dillwyn where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Mary) Ayers, also, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Marie) Garrett.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fulcher attended the Gideon dinner on Monday night at the Country Cookin'.

Members of the “Special Blessings” group of Glenn Memorial Baptist Church at Prospect, Evelyn Shelton, Shirley Ful-cher, Shirley Mottley, and Jeannette Tarlton, visited residents at the Woodlands-Holly Manor, Brookview, Moore Center, on Monday delivering smiles and gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene (Lois) Southall, Garland Woodson, and Ann Parker motored to Culpeper to the Holiday Inn to help Garland's brother, the Rev. Robert Woodson, formally of Tuggle, celebrate his 82nd birthday. Also helping Robert celebrate were his wife, Gladys, and his children, Shirley and her husband, Karl Hrebik; Bobby and his wife, Marion Woodson of South Carolina; Jimmy and his wife, Joyce Woodson; Gary and his wife, Jackie Woodson; as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Phyllis Paulson, of Smithfield, and her daughter, Del Lorimor, of Middleburg, FL, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lester (Becky) Goin on Monday. Mary Phyllis and Becky are sisters.

Neighbors, family and friends, are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time, Betty Noblin, Ralph Haga is in the hospital, and Mrs. Flora Bolt has had a little foot surgery.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will fill the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville, at Tuggle, invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.
