Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dews, of Farmville, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Jennifer Alison, to Charles Mac Carr II, son of Susan Wood, of Petersburg.

Jennifer is the granddaughter of the late Perrow and Earlie Dews, of Brookneal, and Jenny Ballou, of Farmville, and Robert Franklin, of Sanisidro, Costa Rica. Charles is the grandson of Thomas and Barbara Rasberry, of Lugoff, SC.

Jennifer is a 2004 graduate of Prince Edward County High School and a 2009 graduate of James Madison University. She is currently employed by Prince Edward County Schools.

Charles is a 2000 graduate of Colonial Heights High School. He is currently employed by Southside Electric in Crewe.

A June wedding is planned.
