Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Edward Massie, of Dillwyn, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Joni Amanda, to Grady Neal Cox, of Chase City, son of Ms. Joyce Reams Cox, of South Hill, and Jimmie Neal Cox, of LaCrosse.

Miss Massie is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Martin, of Dillwyn, and the late Mrs. Pearl Massie Rosen and Mr. Stockton Terry Massie, formerly of Buckingham.

Mr. Cox is the grandson of Mrs. Mildred Paulette Cox, of South Hill, and the late Mr. Jimmie Lee Cox and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Mack Reams, formerly of Boydton.

Miss Massie graduated from Fuqua School and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education. Miss Massie is employed with the Virginia Department of Correctional Education.

Mr. Cox graduated from Park View High School and is employed with the Virginia Department of Transportation.

A December 3, wedding is planned in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
