DILLWYN, March 17 – Forrest Speas Waycaster, 88, of Dillwyn, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 17, 2011. She was born in Carroll County on September 30, 1922, to the late Robert McKinley and Sarah Towe Speas.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She was a wonderful cook and avid flower and vegetable gardener and loved to crochet.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Aaron Grayson 'A.G.' Waycaster; two daughters, Rita W. Harris and husband, John, and Dianna W. Hunter; grandchildren, Aaron Harris and wife, Trish, Adam Harris and wife, Megan, Tyler, Sarah, and Ashley Hunter; great-grandchildren, Kane Reardon, Bayla Harris and Tessa Harris, all of Buckingham; siblings, Agnes S. Ogle and David Speas of Cumberland, Emmett (Bob) Speas of Powhatan; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a loving sister, Lydia Speas Waycaster and two brothers, Marcus and Garnett Speas.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening at the Dunkum Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Hall Building Fund at Jones Chapel Church, 947 Trents Mill Road, Cumberland, VA 23040.
