February Increased Precipitation Deficit

A dry February followed a dry January, with less than one inch of rain measured by WFLO, the National Weather Service's Cooperative Observer for the area.
February averages well over three inches of precipitation and though only two months old 2011 already had a precipitation deficit of 4.65 inches as calendars turned to March.
Our precipitation deficit was greater than our total precipitation.
Let's hope March's wet footsteps continue and that there are plenty of April showers to bring us caught up to date with rainfall by May.
