Central Virginia Arts will feature the work of members Peggy Flippin and Phyllis Wildman-Warren in an exhibit at the Riverside Cafe, 522 North Main Street, in Farmville. The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. Ms. Flippin, of Jetersville, will show her oil paintings reflecting her lifelong interest in art, even while raising a family, working in the Amelia Treasurer's Office and serving as treasurer before retirement. Ms. Wildman-Warren, from Amelia, also works in oils and feels her exposure to the beauty of the landscape in her youth in Campbell County formed her connection to landscapes. Her freedom to explore as a child became a major component of her art. Pictured is Flippin's “Spring” and Wildman-Warren's “Paragon.” The show may be viewed Mondays through Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. during April and May. The exhibit is made possible through the cooperation of Jean and Parker Wheeler, Riverside Cafe owners. For more information call Tom Dennison, Exhibits, 392-6804.
