The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Circuit Courtroom at the Cumberland Courthouse in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-1427, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, to consider the following item and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

Code Amendment 11-03 – Proposed Amendment to the Code of Cumberland County, Virginia: “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 14 of the Cumberland County Code, specifically amending Section 14-61 so that the building fee schedule text remains consistent with the terms used in the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code.” The proposed amendment would amend text regarding the applicable fee to detached accessory structures.

Copies of the complete text of the above proposed ordinance, resolution and associated documents are available for public review at the County Administrator's office in the Cumberland County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day. The public is invited to attend the hearing at which persons affected may appear and present their views orally or in writing.
