FREDERICKSBURG, March 8 – Annie Irene Burley Burks, 85, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Golden Living Center of Fredericksburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Franklin Burks and a son, Riley Franklin Burks.

Survivors include two sons, Talmadge Vincent Burks and Rickey Lynn Burks; five daughters, April Ann Newcomb and husband, Neil, Patsy Jane Leak, Janet Marie Mitchell, Shirley Ann Mitchell and husband, Charlie, and Ruby Mae Carney and husband, Leonard; her brothers and sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Farmville, with the Pastor Larry Ross officiating.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Covenant Funeral Service.
