Happy Anniversary wishes go out to: Larry and Barbara Barone, of Cumberland, celebrating on Friday, January 28, Luther and Barbara Davis, of Arvonia, celebrating on Tuesday, February 1, and Jerry and Barbara Heifner, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Wednesday, February 2.
Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Tom Snead, of Glen Allen, and his two daughters, Karen Agnew and Cheryl Miles, both of Richmond, all enjoyed an evening of food, fun and fellowship at a Dillwyn restaurant on Friday, January 21.
Our prayers and thoughts go out this week to all those who are sick and shut-in.
Sympathy is extended to the Sharpe family of Dillwyn. Betty Craft Sharpe, 75, passed away on Monday, December 27. A Memorial Service was held January 23 at Ennon Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who truly loved her.
The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, February 5 at 1 p.m. at the Welcome Wesleyan Church, located on U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn. All members are asked to bring a covered dish for lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. This will be followed by the February program featuring J.R. and Margy Smith. Miles will be providing Gospel Music on Thursday afternoon February 3 at 4:30 p.m. at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Dillwyn. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Spreading God's Gifts, Inc. is a local non-profit home-grown faith-based ministry organization who assists working individuals or families in need primarily serving Buckingham and surrounding counties.
On Saturday evening, February 5, from 6-8 p.m. in the Buckingham County Middle School Cafetorium, there will be a spaghetti dinner concert. The dinner will include spaghetti, salad, bread, and dessert. There will be gospel music presented by Smokey Wilson from Concord and Kathy Whatley of Chesapeake. The evening's event is donation-basis only. There will also be door prizes given away.
