JANUARY 27 – Theresa Throckmorton Morgan was born June 15, 1937 in Prince Edward County and later moved to Buckingham County where she lived until she married. In later years she returned to take care of her mother, Dorothy Marlowe Throckmorton. She lived with her mother for eight years until her mother died, then moved to Charlotte, NC where she lived until she suffered a tragic accident on December 30, 2010.

She passed from this life peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2011, with her children and her sister, Nancy Foster, by her side. She was the daughter of Elijah and Dorothy Marlowe Throckmorton.

Ms. Morgan has left to mourn a daughter, Terry Tapscott (Mark) of Mechanicsville; two sons, David Morgan (Myra) and Ross Morgan (Kim) both of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Foster of Atlanta, GA and Frankie Sandford (Jack) of Farmville and a special sister-in-law, Shirley Throckmorton of Wingina.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Judson (Jay) Morgan and a brother, Richard Lee Throckmorton.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, served the family.
