Santa Claus came a little early for Project F.O.U.R. children at Dillwyn Primary School this year. Superintendent Gary Blair cleared his schedule when Mrs. Ownby asked him to schedule a time to do his yearly visit. Santa surprised the children in their classroom Wednesday morning. He brought each child a candy cane and read “The Night Before Christmas” and, of course, promised toys for all the good little girls and boys. As Santa left, all of the children huddled at the window of the classroom to catch a glimpse of him flying away in his sleigh. The students in the classes of Ms. Booker, Mrs. Hess and Mrs. Ownby will have a special memory of that day.
