DECEMBER 9 – On Tuesday, December 7, 2010, Peggy Darlene Voorhees went home to be with the Lord and Savior. She was 62 years of age and had been fighting MS for the past 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence B. and Lawrence E. Witt and a brother, Larry Witt.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Edwin Robert (Bob) Voorhees of Buckingham; a son, Michael Voorhees and wife, Bobbie and a daughter, Paula Lowe and husband, John all of Buckingham; brother, Timothy Witt and wife, Pam of Buckingham; two sisters, Betty Ann Sawyer and husband, Larry of Portsmouth and Patricia F. Perutelli and husband, Alfred II of Buckingham; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Voorhees was a very devoted born again Christian and will be remembered by all for her wonderful smile. She was a charter member of Glory Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 9, at Glory Baptist Church by the Rev. Jeff Worley. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
