Editor, The Herald:

It was with great sadness that I read about Dan Albert's plans to leave the Southside Virginia Family YMCA.

This young man has made such a great contribution to our community! How fortunate we were to have had him during the planning, building, and development of our Y to the point where it is today. Under his leadership, programs have been developed that benefit adults and children in both the town and the county. Students from both colleges have been utilized to assist in these programs.

Thank you, Dan, from all of us! We wish you well in your next position! Our loss is their gain.
