NOVEMBER 16 – William Leonard VanLenten, 85, passed away on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11, 2010. He served during WWII with the Merchant Marines.
He is joining his wife, Irene of 50 years, who passed away in 1998. Together, they experienced their finest and proudest moments while basking in the loving warmth of their family. They were their most cherished and prized accomplishments. They are the finest jewels in their loves' treasure chest. They include 10 children; 39 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Also, surviving him is his sister, Shirley Foster of Tennessee, as well as countless friends and admirers.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, with inter-ment to follow in Amelia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia.
The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, is in charge of arrangements.
