DILLWYN, Nov. 2 – Mabel E. Shumaker Taylor, 91, of Dillwyn, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 28, 2010. She was born on May 28, 1919, in Buckingham County to the late Harrison White Shumaker and Alice Jamerson Shumaker. She was the widow of John Taylor.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Edith S. Rowell of Alaska, also nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held on October 31 at the Dunkum Funeral Home, with interment in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
