RICE, Oct. 12 – Hazel Gilton Reedy, 82, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at her residence in Rice near Farmville. She had a passion for gardening. She was a member of the Dillwyn Garden Club and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her husband, Bryant Reedy; daughter, Pam Davis of Mechanicsville; son, Gary Reedy and wife, Gwen of Aquia Harbor; grandsons, Brad and Ben Davis both of Mechanicsville; sisters, Ruth Waller and husband, Jerry, Beth Newhouse and husband, Lester all of Springfield, and Colleen Richardson of Abington, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Margaret Weaver; sisters, Mary Hodges and Carol Porter-field.

Funeral services were conducted Monday October 11, at Pisgah Baptist Church in Rice. Interment followed in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
