Wayne and Lisa Cook, of Ashburn, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Layne Ashworth Cook, to John Taylor Tuck, son of Bryan and Norma Tuck, of Cullen.

Layne is a 2006 graduate of Broad Run High School and a 2010 graduate of Longwood University and is presently employed as an elementary teacher with the Loudoun County Public School System. She is the granddaughter of Jim and Norma York, of Pawley's Island, SC, and the late Stephen and Marie Cook, of Madison.

John Taylor is a 2003 graduate of Randolph-Henry High School and a 2007 graduate of Bridgewater College and is currently employed by the Charlotte County Public School System as an elementary teacher. He is the grandson of Anna Taylor, of Cullen, and the late Henry Taylor and John and Hazel Watts, of Phenix, and Earl Tuck, of New York.

A 2012 wedding is planned.
