CUMBERLAND, Oct. 14 -Edgar S. Berry Jr., 74, of Cumberland, departed this life at his residence on Sunday, October 10, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Jordan Berry; two children, Robbin Berry and Edgar “Buddy” Berry III; five grandchildren, Nicole Zayas Deans (Elroy), Danielle Wynn Shields (Andrew), Lizette Baptiste, Christopher Berry- Ingram and Britney Berry; one great-grandchild, Aaron Deans; devoted sister, Yvonne Berry Tyler Gadson; nephew and godson, Andrew Tyler Jr., devoted nephew, David Norman; niece and god-daughter, Adrienne Tyler Fegans (Jerry); dear friend Henry Pfeiffer (Barbara) and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home where family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Johns Memorial Episcopal Church of Farmville. Father Christopher Cunningham will officiate. Interment will be in the Hendricks-Berry Cemetery, Cumberland.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Cumberland County Rescue Squad, Cumberland County Volunteer Fire Department, Fuqua School, and/or American Cancer Society.
