OCTOBER 28 – Bernard Jerome Callan, 75, of Farmville, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Farmville. He was born December 4, 1934 in North Conway, New Hampshire, the son of the late Arthur and Alice Callan. He served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Callan was a retired consultant.

He is survived by a son, Dana Callan of Maine; daughters, Missy Collier and husband, Jake of Buelton, California and Jessica Callan Suit and husband, David of Spencer, West Virginia; sister, Connie Meade of North Conway, New Hamp-shire and grandchildren, Wyatt and Dean Somers, Ryan and Alex Collier and Ashley, Jayden, Isabelle and Spencer Callan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Callan.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29, at 2 p.m. at Johns Memorial Episcopal Church with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery.
