4-H Riders Win State Awards

The Prince Edward Riding Star 4-H Horse & Pony Club celebrated their 19th year going to the Virginia 4-H state championship show at the Lexington Horse Center. The club went on to garner a total of 14 ribbons, including a reserve champion ribbon won by Bailey Carkenard, and Courtney Bailey won a first place out of 48 entries in Jr. Hunter Trail. The eight members who paricipated were: Dawn Polsinello, Synsorae Jackson, Hayley West, Rachael Watts, Anna Welch, Katharine Schneider, Bailey Carkenard, and Courtney Bailey. The Riding Star 4-H Club is under the leadership of Cathy Duker.
