SEPTEMBER 28 – Robert Lightfoot Ragland, 93, of Dillwyn, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Heritage Hall Nursing in Dillwyn. He was born on March 16, 1917, in Buckingham County to the late Charles Lightfoot and Lelia Poe Ragland.

He is survived by two sisters, Christine Ragland of Howardsville and Louise Jones of Richmond; brother-in-law, Robert E. Donald of Scottsville; a special niece, Joanne R. Jamerson of Dillwyn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Ragland was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Ragland, Tucker Ragland and John William Ragland and four sisters, Bea Ragland, Katherine Donald, Frances Carlton and Sadie Palmore.

A funeral service was held on Sunday at the Dunkum Funeral Home, with interment in the Glenmore United Methodist Church.
