September 2 – The Darlington Heights Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 3 – 9 p.m. For more than 30 years “The Heights” has been cooking up the most delicious barbequed pork with their own special sauce. Also on the menu is barbequed chicken cooked by Tony Mitchell, along with all the fixings. Delicious homemade pies and cakes will be for sale.

There will be a kiddie carnival and bounce house for all the young ones. And anyone with antique cars, trucks, etc. is asked to cruise-in around 3 p.m. Music will be by West Wind Band from Bedford and will play from 6-9 p.m.

What better way to remember the 9-11 attack than to support your local firefighters in their fundraising effort on 9-11.
