W. E. Tyler, 74 Of Dillwyn Dies Sunday

DILLWYN, May 11 – William Earnest “Cute” Tyler, 74, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 in Charlottesville.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche Banton Tyler; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Susan Tyler of Scottsvllle; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Lawrence Newton of Dillwyn, Linda and Charles Hackett of Dillwyn: brothers and sisters-in-law, Archie and Opal Tyler of Chesapeake, Arthur and June Tyler of Valentines, Lynn and Barbara Tyler of Sacramento, CA, Price Tyler and Debbie Chisom of Vinton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine Dillman of Roanoke, Jane Leonard of Blue Ridge, Nancy Whitaker of Vinton, Annette and Morgan Barlett of Copper Hill, Martha Adams of Vinton, Helen and J. T. Burnette of Bedford; grandchildren, Michelle and Alien Shumaker, Junior and Katie Dunkum, Anne and Shawn LeSueur, Ryan and Brad Tyler, Josh and Clint Hackett, Troy Newton; great-grandchildren, Amber Shumaker, Brianna and Tyler LeSueur.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with the Rev. Tommy Armstrong, the Rev. Jimmy Dunn and the Rev. Jim Radford officiating. Interment will follow in Buckingham Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham County Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Toga Volunteer Fire Department.
