Vera W. Copple 88

MADISONVILLE, August 24 – Vera Womack Copple, 88, of Madisonville passed away Friday morning August 20, 2010 at the Appomattox Health and Rehab Center. Born in Prince Edward County, September 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry N. Womack and Eva Hamilton Womack, and the widow of Harry Amos Copple. She was a founding member of the Margaret Watson Bird Club in Darlington Heights, an avid gardener and for many years the pitcher and coach of the Spring Creek Baptist Church women's softball team. She loved her community and her many friends.

Ms. Copple is survived by a son, Harry Michael Copple of Madisonville; daughter, Jo Ann Copple Eppes and husband, Tray of Darlington Heights; brother, Wilson Womack of Forest and six nieces and nephews, Ronald Womack, Connie W. McFadden, Cynthia W. White, Judith T. Williams, Jeanette Womack, and Glenda W. Raborn.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, August 24, in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Madisonville Presbyterian Church cemetery.
