MEHERRIN, July 29 – Tilden Lee Evans, 44, of Meherrin, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Mr. Evans was born in Virginia Beach, September 23, 1963 and was formerly a truck driver with J. R. Tharpe Trucking.

He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina M. Evans; his parents, Willard T. and Thelma Adams Evans all of Green Bay; and four brothers, Michael and Kenneth Evans of Virginia Beach, Mitch Evans of Charleston, SC and Brian Evans of Green Bay.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Sunday, July 27, in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, served the family.
