PROSPECT, Feb. 19 – Shelby Louise Reid, 55, of Prospect, died on Friday, February 13, 2009. She was born on April 1, 1953 in Virginia, the daughter of the late Julian and Josephine Moore Reid. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Hackney.

She is survived by two daughters, Tracy Lawson Pride of Farmville and Crystal Stearnes of Prospect; two sisters, Jacqueline Skowron of Bristol and Linda Pickeral of Warrenton; brother, Douglas Reid of VA; six grandchildren, Brandon Lawson, Octavia Lawson, Samantha Townsend, Leilana Townsend, Dylan Townsend, and Ashton Townsend; two great-grandchildren, Julius Lawson and Julian Lawson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at noon from Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home where a memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m.
