Sarah Driskill Glascock, 76 Friday In Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Aug. 13 – Sarah Driskill Glascock, 76, of Green Bay, passed away at her home August 11, 2009, after a brief illness. She was born on October 1, 1932.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Driskill, mother, Janie Driskill of Drakes Branch, and her husband of 54 years, Walter “Mike” C. Glascock of Green Bay.

Mrs. Glascock went to work following her completion of high school. She worked in the banking sector beginning with Peoples National Bank in Farmville. She stopped for 12 years to raise her two boys, and retired from Nations Bank in Farmville after 33 years of service.

Sarah became a member of Liberty Christian Church after marrying her husband, Mike. She served in many capacities during her lifetime, and was still actively serving as assistant treasurer.

She is survived by two sons, Michael C. and wife, Ruth of Wakefield, and Berryman Glascock and wife, Teresa of Green Bay; grandsons, Nathan, Stephen, Matthew, and grand-daughter, Erin.

Funeral services will be held at Liberty Christian Church in Green Bay at 2 p.m., Friday, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Browning Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, from 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday (tonight).
