JULY 9 – Sally Scott Sanderson, 94, of Farmville, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Porter and Ellen Walker Scott in Cumberland County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Holman Sanderson, twin sister, Frances Ligon, and three brothers, Edwin, Thomas and George Scott.

She is survived by her son, William Walker “Billy” Sanderson Sr. and wife, Geraldine of Farmville; sister, Elizabeth Scott Crump of Richmond; two grand-children, Carol Anne Seal and husband, Terry of Farmville, and William Walker Sanderson Jr. and wife, Laura of Farmville; six great-grandchildren, Ellen and Caroline Seal, Allison, Walker, Hunter and Rebekah Sanderson.

The family will receive friends at Billy and Geraldine's residence on Friday evening from 6-8:30 p.m.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. from Centenary United Methodist Church.
