CUMBERLAND, Jan. 27 -Mrs. Ruby Ann James Robertson, 81, of Cumberland, departed this life on Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Richmond.

She is survived by her daughters, Ernestine Robertson-Sharpe and Ruby Robertson Robinson (Bruce); a grand-daughter, Jessica Renee Robin-son; a sister, Mary James Robinson; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude Robertson Carter and Thomasena Robertson; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Robertson and Edward Robinson; a step-mother, Julia Boatwright James; three half-sisters, Minnie, Betty and Bertha; three half-brothers, David, Joseph, and William James; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Howard C. Cooper Sr., pastor, officiating with interment in the church cemetery.
