DILLWYN, November 11 – Rosa Kate Dean Shumaker, 96, of Dillwyn died Saturday, November 8, 2008. She was born June 3, 1912 in Buckingham County, the daughter of the late James Dean and Dora Moss Dean. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by a sister, Florence Amiss of Richmond and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery.
