PAMPLIN, Sept. 24 – The Reverend Mark Alan Niederbrock, 50, of Pamplin, died tragically Friday, September 18, 2009 along with his wife, Debra Sue Kelley and daughter, Emma Kelley Niederbrock. Born in Benton, Illinois, March 20, 1959, he was the son of Janise (Jan) Somers Niederbrock of Champaign, Illinois and the late David Ray Niederbrock.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lynnette Niederbrock and his grandparents, Clarence and Alene Somers and Otto and Elenore Neiderbrock.
Mark was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of the University of Illinois with a major in the study of photography. He received a Master's of Divinity from Union Seminary in Richmond and was serving as the pastor of Walker's Presbyterian Church, where he was loved and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Mark's life was held Thursday (today) in Walker's Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Joe McCutchen.
