NEW CANTON, July 7 – Paul Julian Harris Sr., 64, of New Canton passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Virginia Harris Sharpe; his wife, Grace T. Harris and a daughter, Paula E. Harris.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Michael Harris and wife, Katie of California and Paul “Pee Wee” Harris Jr. of New Canton; two daughters, Jacqueline Harris Garrett and husband, Meade and Tina Harris Ownby and husband, Jay both of Dillwyn; two sisters, Edna Sharpe and Alice Bell and husband Dana; a brother, Walter “Brother” Sharpe and fiance', Emma Smith all of New Canton; uncle, Sonny Harris and wife, Nancy of Cumberland and six grandchildren, Cooper, Mia, Meade Jr., Katilyn, Max and Cinnamon.

Family will receive friends at Dunkum Funeral Home Wednesday, July 8, from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the funeral home with interment in the Cedar Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, is serving the family.
