Ola Huddleston, 97

BUCKINGHAM, April 14 – Ola Mae Trent Huddleston, 97, died Saturday, April 11, 2009. Born July 24, 1911 in Buckingham County, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Katie Trent.

She is survived by daughters, Deloras (Betty) Puett of Powhatan, Zanie H. Jamerson and husband, Jerry of Dillwyn, Mary H. Butler and Sue H. Maxey and husband, Thomas of Dillwyn; son, Joe G. Huddleston and wife, Lorene of Dillwyn; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Morton Huddleston Sr.; sons, John Morton Huddleston Jr. and James Milton Huddleston; grandson, John Morton Huddleston III; brothers, Robert L. Jr., Richard, and Andrew Hall Trent; six sisters, Virginia Stanley, Mary (Mertie) Huddleston, Kitty Ward, Ruth Parrish, Zanie Fields, and Blanche Scott.

Funeral services were held Tuesday (today) at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in Salem United Methodist Cemetery.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, served the family.
