POQUOSON, May 6 – Octavia Rita Pyle, 91, of Poquoson, formerly of Meherrin, died on Fri-day, May 2, 2008. She was pre-ceded in death by her husband, John T. Pyle Sr.

Surviving are five children, John T. Pyle Jr. and wife, Judy of Meherrin, Charles F. Pyle Sr. and wife, Shirley of Poquoson, Howard E. Pyle Sr. and wife, Ann of Meherrin, Sandra K. Pyle of Portsmouth, and Ronald E. Pyle Sr. and wife, Susie of Keysville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 5, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meherrin, with interment in the church cemetery.

The Browning Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
