OCTOBER 20 – Nancy Elvira Wilson departed this life on Monday, October 19, 2009. She was born on September 29, 1915 to William Archer Wilson and Julia Holman Wilson.

She received her RN training at Garfield Memorial Hospital in Washington DC. She served as an RN in the United States Army. Ms. Wilson received her BS in Nursing from the University of Virginia and retired as a nursing supervisor from McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Ruth Chapter #8 Eastern Star.

Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents and the following siblings: Mary W. Hurt, William Archer Wilson, Benjamin Allen Wilson, Thornton Holman Wilson, James Hall Wilson, Marshall Edward Wilson, Charlie Howard Wilson, Howell Allen Wilson and Jack Carrington Wilson.

A funeral service will be held at Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 11 a.m.
