PROSPECT, April 22 – Morton Allen, Jr., died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Southslde Community Hospital.

He was born June 14, 1948 to Morton Allen, Sr. and Erma Ruth Allen.

Mr. Allen was a member of Sulphur Spring Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Nannie Allen; three daughters, Debra Jones, Lanay (Donald) Walker and Danyel (Barry) Bowles; two sons, Carl (Matilda) Scott and Warren Hendericks; mother-in-law, Annie Scott; three sisters, Jackie (Ernest) Washington, Fannie (Devan) Honyghen and Linda (Joe) Lyles; two brothers, the Reverend James (Clyde) Allen and Larry Allen; four uncles;two aunts; ten grandchildren;host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and a very special uncle, Walter Allen.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Carl U. Eggleston Funeral Establishment, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
