CUMBERLAND, May 12 – Michael Lee Baker, 29, of Cumberland, departed this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Farmville.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Susie Carter; two sons, Darius and Dontae Baker; daughter, Jananea Booker; grandparents, Frank Carter and Bertha Booker; goddaughter, Daneisha Patterson; sister, Rosalyn Carter; seven aunts; eight uncles; cousins and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Larry E. Smith, pastor, officiating with interment in the church cemetery.
