MARCH 16 – Richard Forbes Watkins departed this life to his heavenly home Monday, February 1, 2010 at Pawley's Island, SC at the age of 50.

He is survived by his wife, Donna V. Watkins; sons, An-drew Watkins and Lucas Watkins and his daughter, Kate Ty-ler Watkins, all of Pawley's Island, SC; father, William F. Watkins Jr. of Farmville; sister, Sally Watkins Bobbitt and husband, Thomas C. Bobbitt of Richmond; brother, William N. Watkins and wife, Jean P. Watkins of Richmond and their sons, Eddie Watkins and Henry Watkins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Soyars Watkins.

He served in the United States Air Force, attended Longwood University and received his degree in Nursing and his Master's Degree as a Nurse Anesthetist from Medical College of Virginia.

A memorial service was held at All Saints Church, Pawley's Island, on February 6.

Mr. Watkins will be laid to rest at a memorial service at the Westview Cemetery in Farmville on March 20 at 3 p.m.
