ROANOKE, Aug. 27 – Mary B. Mabry, 78, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009. Born September 22, 1930, and raised in Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Dick S. and Bessie Bryant Bowling. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Mack Mabry.

She was a member of the Greyhound Retirees and retired from K-Mart.

Surviving are her sister, Evelyn B. Sheppek; two daughters, Elizabeth M. Ransom and Nancy M. Winters and husband, Roy; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a step-grandson.

The graveside funeral was held Monday at Evergreen Burial Park with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating.
