NORTH CAROLINA, Sept. 30 – Lucy Elizabeth Hester Kelly, 83, of Bladenboro, North Carolina, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at her home.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Kelly and wife, Lavelle of Dillwyn and Darrell Kelly and wife, Pam, of Bladenboro, NC; a daughter, Elizabeth K. Garvey and husband, Jon of Rock Hill, SC; sister, Marguerite Ellis Blanchard of Chester, SC; brother, W. Tate Hester of Williamsburg; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 29 at Lennons Crossroads Baptist Church by Dr. Fred Senten.
