The Farmville Lion Club would like to thank the community for supporting our Lions Recycle for Sight used eyeglasses collection program. Throughout last year, we collected over 1,400 pairs of unwanted eyeglasses and sunglasses from the Farmville community and surrounding areas.

The donated eyeglasses were delivered to Virginia Lions Eyeglass Recycling Inc. headquartered at Roanoke, Virginia where they will be cleaned, sorted by prescription, and prepared for distribution. The distribution to needy people in developing countries is performed by Lions and many different organizations hosting optical missions.

The Farmville Lions Club would also like to express our appreciation to the following businesses for contributing to the project's success by serving as convenient eyeglass collection centers.
